Jeudi 5 mai dernier, des patients de l’USSAP – Centre Bouffard Vercelli à Perpignan ont pu participer à un après-midi consacré à la promotion du rugby pour tous, proposé par l’USAP Solidaire et à l’initiative de l’Equipe Mobile d’Evaluation et de Réadaptation (EMER66).
Cet évènement organisé au stade Aimé Giral de Perpignan, avait pour objectif de mettre en avant et favoriser l’accessibilité au sport pour tous, en s’appuyant notamment sur la pratique du rugby.
11 patients et 3 professionnels du Centre Bouffard Vercelli étaient présents :

- Yannick Dozias – Animateur
L’après-midi a débuté par une prise de parole poignante de Jacques-Louis Potgieter. Ancien joueur de rugby passé notamment par le Centre de Rééducation Bouffard Vercelli de l’USSAP, il a été contraint de mettre un terme à sa carrière à l’USAP suite à des problèmes de santé.
Plusieurs ateliers étaient au programme afin de faire découvrir la pratique d’un rugby adapté pour tous. Les patients ont pu bénéficier d’ateliers de rugby animés et encadrés par Martin Denis, éducateur sportif spécialisé à l’USAP et Jacques Louis Potgieter. Une initiation au Handi Rugby a également été encadrée par Joël Lacombe, joueur Handi Rugby.
Nous tenons à remercier l’USAP Solidaire et notamment Jérémy Marques, pour cette action qui a pu permettre un évènement sportif inclusif adapté, et qui donne d’autres pistes pour l’avenir.
